Mike Thompson November Votes

What follows is a selection of votes on major bills where the House of Representatives was split on pasage. Thompson is a Democrat. Unless noted, his vote is with the Democratic Party majority.

On November 4, 2009 Congressman Mike Thompson voted for H.R. 3639, the Expedited CARD Reform for Consumers Act of 2009, which passed 331 to 92. This act moves forward the dates for the Credit Card Act of 2009 to go into effect to protect consumers from unethical, predatory practices by banks and credit card companies.

On November 6, 2009 Mike voted for H.R. 2868, the Chemical and Water Security Act of 2009, which passed 230 to 193.

On November 19, 2009 Mike voted for H.R. 2781, which designates segments of the Molalla River in Oregon as components of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. The bill passed 292 to 133.

Also on November 19, 2009 Mike voted Yes on H.R. 3961, the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act of 2009, which passes 243 to 183.

All of the above bills must be passed by the U.S. Senate and signed by President Obama to become law.
